The multi-year sponsorship deal will see the club’s junior section called Bishop’s Stortford ‘Ravens’
Bishop’s Stortford Hockey Club are delighted to announce Ravenscroft as our new sponsor for the junior section of the club, who’ll be known as the ”Ravens”. Bishop’s Stortford Hockey club, formed in 1948, has a long and proud history with the local community, based for many years in Cricketfield Lane before moving to the new Herts & Essex Sports Centre in 2019. Through our affiliation, local investment firm Ravenscroft will help us provide a number of hockey programmes for children aged from 5 to 16 in the local community.
The multi-year sponsorship of the Bishop’s Stortford Ravens’ aims to encourage young players to learn and develop their hockey and team skills through sessions organised in club and community environments, as well as local schools such as Herts & Essex, Hockerill and Northgate. Any local schools that would like to participate in the programme should contact the club here. The sponsorship will also support Juniors to play hockey in local leagues and competitions.
Ollie Parsons from Ravenscroft’s Bishop’s Stortford Investment team, said “We are delighted to be both associated with and sponsoring Bishop’s Stortford Ravens. We are keen supporters of grassroots sport and it’s great to be involved in the local community in this way, encouraging and enabling young people to benefit from playing hockey.”
Bishop’s Stortford Hockey Club Chairman Duncan Barber welcomed the deal saying “We are very grateful to Ravenscroft. This arrangement will help us enormously to give the young people of Stortford the opportunity to enjoy playing hockey.”
The deal will also see Ravenscroft as the lead sponsor for the district schools’ tournaments being hosted at Hockerill and Leventhorpe in 2022.
