The Annual General Meeting of the Hockey Club will be held on 20 June 2022 at 8pm
We are pleased to confirm that details, including the agenda, papers and last year’s minutes, are available on the AGM page of the website here. For those wishing to have copies sent to them please do let Amy Duffy know.
The BSHC Management Committee would very much like to see your support for your club by attending this meeting: this is your chance to directly influence the direction of the club, contribute to proposals for next season and ask any other questions of us that you would like to raise. Apart from needing to reach quorum for a valid meeting, a good turnout helps the committee ensure that we are working on your behalf! Should you be unable to attend, apologies for the AGM can be sent to Amy at [email protected].
Whilst the meeting will be held in person at the Herts & Essex Sports Centre, we will also make a link available for members to listen on Zoom and provide a facility for members to ask questions remotely although as the meeting is in person, we can’t guarantee the sound quality and would encourage attendance where ever possible but will make this available for members who can’t attend. If you are unable to attend, please let us know and we will provide further details for this Zoom call
Your club is largely run by volunteers whether it’s umpiring, running sides, coaching juniors, booking pitches and teas or organizing social events. As ever, if you’d like to become more involved in the running of your club, please do speak to any of the members of the committee. We are particularly inviting expressions of interest via email for support with leading our ladies’ section, Director of Junior Hockey, Ladies Club representative and social secretary.
In addition to these full committee positions elected at the annual AGM, if you have any interest in standing as a Captain or volunteering in any form please do let us know by emailing Amy or any other committee member as we are always looking for more help to grow the club.
