Report: Mens 2nd XI vs Bedford 3 – September 16, 2023

Bishop’s Stortford Men’s 2s got their campaign in Div2SW off to a strong start with a win on the road at Bedford. It was a mature display in the heat from the 12 travelling players, protecting possession and passing the ball confidently, particularly fromt centre back pairing of Harry Bannister and Mark Taylor.  Further up the field, the forwards applied relentless pressure to create opportunities to win the ball in dangerous areas of the pitch.  Read more…

Report: Ladies 8th XI vs WELWYN 3 – September 16, 2023

Stortford 8s entered a new league this season and secured a 3-0 win at home against Welwyn 3s. Olympic gold medallist Maddie Hinch holds training sessions

Olympic gold medallist Maddie Hinch passed on some pearls of wisdom during a day of coaching at Bishop’s Stortford Hockey Club. The former Great Britain and England goalkeeper visited the Herts and Essex Sports Centre in Beldams Lane to host one of her MH1 training camps.
