I hope everyone who attended the EOSD had a great evening. Fantastic to see everyone enjoying themselves to the excellent playing of “The Nook” featuring our very own Jon “JT” Taylor.
Awards given out during the EOSD, Congratulations to…
- Chairman’s Award: Ros and Darren “Cuz” Brown – exceptional service to the junior section running two girls’ age groups with enormous sacrifice of time and to excellent effect
- Neil Vartan: Lianne Warnell – for so effectively raising the club’s profile on printed and social media since joining the Committee (with great help from Kenny McLeish’s fantastic pictures!) – as well as her exceptionally reliable keeping in the League on Saturdays and for Herts and East Masters
- James Kew: Suzanne Holmes – great work on two consecutive annual Dinners and other social events, without having to be asked!
- Coach of the Year: Suzy Fletcher – 10 years of service to the junior section and so nearly crowning it with a national title for the Girls U16s (a great day out in any event and great talent for the ladies section)
- Ladies Section Club Person: Naomi Holloway – years of devoted captaincy but also stepping up to help the Section Captain manage the lower half of the ladies teams
- Men Clubman: Paul Tomlin – like several of the men (which is great), willing to play where asked, often away and (not so common) scoring lots of goals – but also having taken up umpiring late, he has umpired many games (these kinds of people are the unsung heroes of the club)
