1’s v Old Southendians

2-4

Another tough day for Stortford mens 1st team as they were beaten 4-2 away from home at Old Southendians. Goals from Craig Smith and Ross Butler weren’t enough to secure victory as injuries cut through the team.

2’s v Royston  1-2

3’s v Blueharts  6-0

4’s v St Alban’s 6’s  2-2

5’s v St Alban’s 7’s  1-6

6’s v Saffron Walden 4’s

5-2

Bishop Stortford Men 6s entertained Saffron Walden in a local derby at Beldams Lane. Stortford put lots of pressure onto Walden making it difficult for them to even get out of their own half until two breakaway goals led to Walden going two nil up against the run of play. Stortford were creating chances, but failing to convert them until Maksim White scored a brilliant goal just before halftime to make it 1-2. In the second half Stortford, totally dominated with goals from Elliott Smith (two), Mika McLeish and another from Maxim White, winning 5-2. It’s great to see so many young players playing well and scoring goals. Stortford now can push to finish in the top three if they maintain this level of performance
