A home game this week for Stortford 8s saw another win for the team. The 8s had to defend hard against a strong start from the visiting team, Broxbourne 5s in Saturday’s game. The visiting team managed to pull ahead with a fine goal scored in the 6th minute. The 8s got into their stride and a determined goal from Eileen Adams saw the score even out 1-1 in the 14th minute. After some strong midfield play, Megan Laws scored the 2nd goal in the 28th minute. Broxbourne put in a strong game, but were unable to score before half time. The 8s were in a good position going into the 2nd half 2-1 up but Broxbourne came out in the second half determined. A great save from GK Hannah Reynolds and strong defending saw the game go on the attack. After some determined attacking and pressing from the midfield team, and defence playing high, the 8s midfielder, Sally Lowe scored in the 26th minute, followed by the 4th goal in the 57 minute by Chloe /Allmark, ending the game on a final score 4-1
